Like everyone has a story to share, so is the case of every recipe... It can be some experimentation or a heartfelt tryst to please your beloved or how you fixed up things when you had guests coming over a short notice or a day when just everything went wrong.....
Here are some of my stories, do- you- knows, DIYs n many other 'dos and don'ts'/ yeses and no's from my kitchen diaries...
#Learnings
1. Cooking Rice
#cooking_rice #perfectrice #spongy_rice #rice #dontgiveup
I learnt it well in advance that this lifetime is quite short to make all mistakes on your own and then learn the right ways. Well, that does not mean people around me keep going berserk with their recipes, make mistakes always and I learn from them but I must admit that some of them are modest experimenters and I keep inferring from their experiments at times :P on the lighter note.
Not just people, but it can also be trying a new dish at a restaurant... Never mind, the most important and basic learning for me was cooking rice. thanks to my mom who went on a 'no-rice-cooking' mode for a month and made me do that in the stead! Sometimes I overcooked, sometimes I undercooked and there were still some times when the rice got charred :( But Every single time I cooked, I learnt (like Thomas Edison should I say?) and now have mastered the Art of Cooking Rice according to my mom. Well, to an amateur, it looks an easy ball game. But to connoisseurs, cooking rice is definitely an art! Cooking rightly gives them a great texture, softness and taste too...
Looking forward to know yours!
