Idli chutney

Ingredients: 2 tbsp coconut pieces, 1/2 tbsp split chickpeas (dalwa), 2 tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp garlic paste, 1-2 tbsp curd, 2 tsp mustard seeds, 1 dry red chilly, 1/2 tsp asafoetida, 5-8 curry leaves, salt to taste, 2 tsp oil

Preparation Time: 5 min (prepares for 4-5)

Recipe:
1. Add coconut, ginger, garlic and split chickpeas in mixer pot and grind them all to fine paste. Then, add 1 tbsp curd to this first and mix again. If it is too thick, then you should add some more curd. Churn the mixture well and remove in a bowl. Add salt to taste. Chutney is ready

2. Take the oil in a small pan for seasoning. Heat it and add asafoetida, mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves to this. Temper the chutney with this seasoning and serve it with idli, dosa, uttappa or upma.

Tips: You can alter the portions of the ingredients to suit the taste your family enjoys the most. For instance, increase coconut for creamy and sweet taste!
