Ingredients: 4 tomatoes, 1 onion, ½ tbsp butter, 2 cubes of ginger (1 cm each), 2 green chillies (not chopped), 4-6 black pepper, a slice of beetroot, salt to taste

Preparation Time: 20 min

Recipe:

1. Cut the onion and tomatoes in big pieces separately.

2. In a pressure cooker, add ghee/ butter and heat it. Add onions and sauté for a minute on low gas. Then add black pepper, green chillies, ginger and beetroot slice. Mix well.

3. Add the pieces of tomatoes to this. Add water till leveled up all the ingredients in the cooker. Cover with lid and pressure cook with three whistles at medium gas.

4. after the cooker cools down, open the lid and remove the green chillies with the help of a spoon. Then grind all the ingredients using a hand mixer or a mixer pot. Sieve it in another vessel. Add little water if thick or per your liking. Add salt to the sieved soup and bring it to boil.

5. Serve it hot with a dash of cream!
Tips: You can add one or two tsp sugar for kids. If they are fuzzy about eating veggies, then also add some carrot. But try to save the color of the soup to shades of red as it's more tempting!
